Estimates, not medical advice

The calculators and articles on Pregnancy Calculator provide estimates for informational purposes only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, prevent or replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional with any questions about a pregnancy, a menstrual cycle, fertility or any other medical condition. Never disregard or delay seeking professional advice because of something you read here.

Why results vary

Every calculation uses conventional average figures, such as a 280-day pregnancy from the last menstrual period and a luteal phase of about 14 days. Real cycles, ovulation timing and pregnancy lengths vary between people and between cycles, so your actual dates may differ from any estimate shown here.

An ultrasound in the first trimester dates a pregnancy more accurately than any calculation from remembered dates. Where your care team’s dating differs from a result on this site, theirs is the one to use.

Not a contraceptive method

No calculator on this site identifies safe days, and none of them may be used to avoid pregnancy. Ovulation timing shifts unpredictably, and pregnancy is possible on days a calendar estimate suggests are unlikely. Speak to a healthcare professional about contraception.

No diagnosis of pregnancy

Nothing on this site can indicate whether you are pregnant. The pregnancy test calculator estimates dates on which a test may give a meaningful result; it does not detect pregnancy. Only a pregnancy test taken at an appropriate time, and confirmation from a healthcare professional, can do that.

Not a paternity determination

Conception and implantation estimates are derived from average intervals and describe ranges rather than facts. They cannot establish who a biological parent is, and must not be used for that purpose.

Urgent concerns

If you have severe pain, heavy bleeding, or any symptom that worries you, contact your healthcare provider or local emergency service immediately. Do not wait, and do not rely on a calculator.
